Today I drove over the Intercoastal Waterway on my way to John’s Island. It was a sunny day but cold and clear. In the summer the Intercoastal can look like a freeway with a steady stream of boats, but today it was quiet and peaceful. I’ve talked with people who love living on the intercoastal. They enjoy watching the variety of boats and yachts that cruise by. Others find the constant boat traffic disquieting and prefer the slower pace of a tidal creek setting. There’s something for everyone on the water!
