People have asked me about ads they’ve seen that describe a waterfront property as having “limited access”. They want to know what that really means. “Limited access” usually means that at low tide a boat can’t get to and from the property but people also use the term “limited access” to refer to properties that have other obstacles that impede boat traffic. For instance, at high tide, high profile boats can’t get under some of our local train tressels that cross the rivers. In other cases, there are bridges that restrict boat traffic in the same manner. There are also cases where sand bars have developed over the years that prevent boaters from passing on low tides. The smart buyer investigates any property they are considering from the water!
