Valentine’s Souffle- A Sweetheart of a Meal

This is a recipe that allows you to put your own spin on the dish and make it your own. It is very easy and is ready to go within an hour – total time. Breakfast, Brunch or Evening delight

Custard
4 large/jumbo eggs
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup sour cream
1/8 teaspoon baking powder
salt and pepper

Mix all of these ingredients in a bowl until very well blended – set aside

Filling
Now here is where the fun begins. You can create a myriad of fillings – feta and spinach- sauteed seafood- fried bacon, sauteed mushrooms and onions – cheeses and cheeses galore and on and on

preheat the oven to 375 degrees – using a 12 oz buttered or Pam sprayed ramekin, pour the custard into the ramekin up to about 1/3 * take whatever filing you have created and add a layer here * add remaining custard and top with your favorite cheese * bake for approximately 35-40 minutes or until you have a beautiful, fully risen dish * While it bakes, prepare a fresh fruit plate and some fresh juice or a mimosa for the more adventuresome * enjoy a wonderful Valentine’s Day with the one you love!!
